Natchitoches Festival of Lights Print E-mail

The second weekend of December, 39 Corvettes organized by the Confederation of Corvette Clubs of Louisiana met in Natchitoches for a day enjoying the Festival of Lights.

The crowd from South Louisiana gathered at the La Quinta Inn in Alexandria on Friday night for an "Orange Slush" party and drove to meet the North Louisiana bunch on Saturday morning. It was an impressive parade from the outskirts of town into the downtown area for parking.

The crowd scattered upon arrival to shop, eat lunch and wander the streets. We met for an early dinner at Lasyone's and feasted on a delicious buffet of meat pies and other southern delicacies. After dinner, most made their way to find a spot on the riverfront to enjoy the live music, Christmas lights and after dark, spectacular fireworks. The weather could not have been better and the Christmas spirit was everywhere.
