Confederation of Corvettes Yearly Planning Meeting Print E-mail

Saturday, February 16, in the pouring down rain, four board members and their spouse, Ida and Nunce, Mary and Price, Terri and Larry, Sandra and Victor -- headed off on a trip to Vidalia La. for a meeting with most all Louisiana Corvette Clubs at the annual Confederation of Corvettes yearly meeting. Once we got out of Monroe the sun came out for a beautiful afternoon of sightseeing and on your own outings. Saturday evening all clubs gathered for dinner at Slough Daddy's Restaurant. There was so much laughter and talking in our reserved area one had to listen closely to what was being said at our table!

Sunday morning, we woke early to have breakfast and head to Natchez, MS to tour a couple of antebellum homes and neatly manicured lawns, and then to enjoy a delicious southern lunch at Stanton Hall. The meeting held on Sunday afternoon, was away how to get information out about other club events like our Corvette Revue. Since our President was unable to attend (baby-on-the-way) Ida filled in for Al. She passed out our Save The Date cards for our Revue, she also, invited other "down south" clubs to come and join our fun weekend. This year will begin on Friday during the day with a historic trip to Jefferson TX. Ida also talked about other events we would be doing through out the year. Other clubs gave information and passed out flyers of their events.

Felix, whom led the weekend event, encouraged all clubs and members to attend and be a part of the Confederation of Corvettes. This is a no rules, no fees, no voting, just a do what you want gathering that is open to everyone. Check out the website: www.ccc-la.com and see the calendar of events throughout the state.
