What started out as gray skies and a light rain fall in Shreveport turned into a beautiful sunny day for our cruise to the Deja Blue Car Show. We had 7 corvettes cruising the roads of East Texas. We arrived just shortly after 10 am and had a grand announcement of River Cities Corvette Club arrival.
We had nice but hot weather in West Monroe for the CONL annual Spring Fling at Hooters in West Monroe.
There were about 10 cars that made the trip over. Most of us stayed under the cover of the outside patio out of the blaring sun and enjoyed free wings and cool beverages.
I was somewhat nervous on Wednesday, two days before we were due to leave for Fort Worth. Record setting rain hit the night before and that morning when I was supposed to have a new windshield put in! It cleared up on Thursday and was able to get it installed with no glitches.
What a great May -- The turnout at our Red River Chevrolet Show & Shine was fantastic. What a crowd with some great winners, but remember, we are all winners when we participate.
